You will be involved in interacting with the customers, understanding the requirements of the products, and guide the team to create a formulation, procuring ingredients, create the product at lab scale and assist the customer in scaling it to production through third party manufacturers. This would involve identifying the ingredients, the suppliers, the process, formulating the product and being responsible for delivery of the same. Other projects include shelf life studies and extension and sensory panel evaluation of the product.
You will also be responsible for advising clients on the right licensing requirements, conduct product reviews and label review as per national and international regulations. You must have a thorough understanding of the FSSAI regulations as well as requirements of export to US, middle east, UK, Europe and Australia.
Candidates must have a degree in Food Science/Technology/Engineering/Biotech/Microbiology with 8-10 years of work experience spread over new product development and regulatory compliance. Must have good problem solving skills, good communication skills and must be a team player. Must understand neutracutical and functional foods. Should have strategic thinking and a vision to be able to lead the team and grow the business. Should be able to work with the technology team to digitize some of the processes and optimize the use of technologies like AI to improve accuracy and efficiency.
